The Sara Lee Classic LPGA Golf Tournament originated in Nashville, Tennessee. ThermoServ worked with a local distributor to get our Item #1020 - 20 Ounce Foam Insulated mug into the concessions for the week as a way to both promote our product but to help sponsor the event in a small way as a
member of the Nashville Business Community.
Two weeks after the tournament, we received a call from a local salesman who attended the event, bought a ThermoServ mug and was duly impressed because it held the ice in his cold beverage all day.
He was a salesman for a national electrical component distributor and wanted to buy the mug with his company name and 800 phone number to use as a salesman's drop off gift for customers. He was going to pay for the mugs himself as his company would not foot the bill as it was not seen as a viable business expense.
Making a long story short, he took a case of the mugs to his national sales meeting a few weeks later and showed the concept to the entire sales force and the Vice President of sales. The company purchased 5,000 mugs about three times a year for many years. Why? Because
